Rib: A strand of peacock sword herl.

Hackle: Palmered furnace cock or hen.

 

Ruby Bumble

Hook: 12 - 14.

Body: Claret thread.

Rib: A strand of peacock sword herl.

Hackle: Palmered pale blue-dun hackle.

 

Steely-Blue Bumble

Hook: 14.

Body: Alternate bands of orange, light orange and cherry-coloured floss silk.

In his book ‘Grayling Angler’, he says “twisted together”.

Rib: A strand of peacock sword herl.

Hackle: Steel-blue hen or cock.

Yellow Bumble

Body: Primrose floss silk.

Rib: A strand of peacock herl.

Hackle: Palmered blue-dun hen or cock.
