March Brown Nymph -

Whisks: Two short strands of cock pheasant tail.
Body: Herl of cock pheasant tail.
Ribbing: Fine gold wire.
Thorax: Bunch of hare's ear at shoulder.
Legs: Partridge light brown feather.
March Brown Nymph (John Veniard )
Hook: 12 -
Tail: Two strands of cock pheasant tail fibres,
or brown mallard shoulder feather fibres.
Body: Cock pheasant tail.
Rib: Gold wire.
Thorax: Hare's ear fur.
Wing-
Legs: Small brown speckled partridge hackle.
March Brown Nymph (Clyde style)
Immature nymph
Whisks: Two or three strands from marled cock pheasant tail.
Body: Dark hare lug spun on orange tying silk.
Rib: Fine gold wire.
Thorax: Dark hare lug.
Hackle: Dark partridge trimmed to a suitable length.
Personally I do not agree with trimming hackle.
Mature nymph
Whisks: Two or three strands from marled cock pheasant tail.
Body: Dark hare lug spun on orange tying silk.
Rib: Fine gold wire.
Wing-
coloured side out.
Hackle: Dark partridge.
